A 21-year-old woman from Roosendaal was arrested just after midnight on Boxing Day on the A58 near Rucphen. She had had way too much to drink and was swaying across the road.
The police received reports from other road users about the woman’s driving behavior. When the police stopped her, her co-driver started to interfere. The 19-year-old Roosendaler refused to identify himself and the two were both arrested.
At the station it turned out that the woman had drunk six times the legal amount of alcohol. Her driver’s license has been confiscated. The man was fined and was then allowed to go home.
