A 17-year-old boy crashed into a car on Wednesday night at Chopinstraat in Breda with his moped car. The police then took a breath test and the teenager turned out to have drunk eight times as much as is allowed for an adult. His driver’s license has therefore been collected.

The accident happened around half past three in the morning. There were no injuries at the collision, although the moped car and passenger car were the necessary damage.

Drunk
At the scene of the accident, the driver of the moped car had to do a bladder test and for that he succeeded anything but. Then the teenager was taken to the police station for an extensive breath analysis.

The boy is a starting driver and can therefore only blow 88 ug/l during an alcohol test. But he blew 715 ug/l and that is more than eight times as much as allowed. The young driver is therefore for the time being.

Traffic course
The public prosecutor determines how long the boy has lost his driver’s license and whether he should also take a course at the CBR. It will probably be about the alcohol and traffic course. The costs are between 818 and 1154 euros.
