Flemish employers reject Walloon applicants: less productive and motivated, is a prejudice

For decades, the cliché wants Walloons lazy and less dedicated when it comes to work. But do Flemish employers along the language border also think about that? Researchers from UGent@Work bumped into the uncomfortable truth: Walloon applicants who want to work with us are effectively discriminated against. “Flemish companies regard them as less productive and motivated. They also fear that colleagues and customers are less happy to work with them.”
