Drummer Joey Jordison’s heirs sue band

The heirs of late drummer Joey Jordison have sued Slipknot. The nu-metal band is said to have marketed the death of its former member in order to better sell an album.

The musician’s family is concerned about “The End, So Far” (2022). Jordison hasn’t played with Slipknot since 2013, but after his death in 2021, the band said that the following album was a way of coming to terms with the loss. In their lawsuit, Jordison’s heirs disputed this. They suspect that the band around singer Corey Taylor only made this statement because “The End, So Far” didn’t sell that well. Exploiting the death of the former member is said to have increased the proceeds. Both statements dealing with Jordison’s death during production and later Dedication of the album the complainers consider it to be a set-up. Slipknot’s lawyers have asked for the lawsuit to be dismissed.
