Drug lab rolled up in Oostkamp, couple arrested
It concerns a shed in the Kuipenstraat in Oostkamp. The federal judicial police have been conducting an investigation all morning, mayor Jan de Keyser confirms.
Arrest
According to the public prosecutor of Bruges, a couple from Oostkamp and a man from Antwerp were arrested during house searches. The searches were part of an investigation into the trade in and manufacture of synthetic drugs that the Federal Judicial Police (FGP) of West Flanders launched in May, partly on the basis of reports from PZ Het Houtsche.
The area around the farm was closed for a while.
Yesterday it also became known that a drug lab has been dismantled in Izegem. Ten people have been arrested. The two cases would have nothing to do with each other, let the public prosecutor know.
