Two men were arrested following the discovery of a drug lab in Haps on Sunday. It concerns a 31-year-old resident of this village and a 42-year-old man from Hoogeveen in Drenthe. The police announced this on Monday afternoon. It is not yet clear how large the lab was and which drugs were produced at the Kwekerweg. In any case, these are synthetic drugs.
The lab was found during an inspection by the municipality and the police.
Specialists from the National Dismantling Facility of the police are still working on mapping the size of the lab and what type of production location it is. The lab and immediate surroundings were continuously monitored on Sunday evening and night.
Once the research in the lab is finished, everything will be dismantled and destroyed.
