A police arrest team raided a building on Brugstraat in Nieuwlande on Wednesday where amphetamine (speed) was probably made until recently.
The drug lab was no longer in use at the time of the raid. However, there were barrels with raw materials to produce drugs, probably amphetamine. Research has yet to confirm this, the police said.
The drug lab was dismantled shortly after the discovery by the specialists of the National Dismantling Facility. Other goods have also been seized. Exactly what it is about has not been disclosed.
No one was arrested in the police action yesterday.
