A drug lab was discovered today at the Eldijk in Holsloot. Eight people were arrested, including a 40-year-old man from Coevorden.
According to the police, it is a lab for synthetic drugs that was still under construction. At the beginning of the afternoon, four suspects were arrested in a raid. In addition to the Coevordenaar, it concerns two men from The Hague (54 and 57 years old) and a 41-year-old woman from Amsterdam.
Four more suspects were arrested later that day. Men from Oudenbosch (57 years old), Oud Gastel (55), Rotterdam (46) and The Hague (28) are being held and are being questioned about their involvement in the lab.
The police say that all supplies for producing the drugs, such as boilers, chemicals and burners, have been found in the building. The lab is being dismantled and specialists are conducting research. Two vehicles and several data carriers have been seized for investigation, the police said.
In September 2021, a drug lab was also discovered in a building on Eldijk in Dalen. This property is near the lab that was rolled up today.
