Bathing drama at Rangsdorfer See! The six-year-old girl who drowned on Sunday had gone to the lake with her parents for a Sunday trip.

The Kreuzberg family had spent the day by the water. The Rangsdorfer See (Teltow-Fläming) is a popular excursion water, in the southern commuter belt of Berlin.

The daughter, 6, with black pigtails, wearing a yellow and pink bathing suit, played with diving goggles in the shallow shore area of ​​the lake.

Around 3:30 p.m., the desperate parents reported the girl missing. An intensive search began immediately. The forces also searched the area around the lake and the nearby forest area. But the child initially disappeared.

The shocking news came late in the evening: rescue workers discovered the child floating motionless in the water. It could only be recovered dead.

On Sunday afternoon it was said that the girl could not swim. How exactly the bathing drama came about is not yet known.
