Adam Ramey, the lead singer and founder of the dropout Kings, died on Monday (May 19th) just a few days before his birthday at the age of 32. The band from Phoenix reported on his death, but did not name any cause of death.
On Facebook, the remaining members of the rap metal band said goodbye with emotional words. Among other things, it was said: “To track this roller coaster ride, i.e. your dreams and build something together with your brothers and friends, is a joy that only a few in the truest sense of the word can get to know and which we were able to experience as a dropout kings together.”
They also wrote: “His passion, energy and love for music have shaped dropout kings and touched countless people. We are deeply shaken, but Adam’s soul, his charisma and its energy will not only be preserved forever, but will also guide us in the future to make the best of us.”

Later, his sister -in -law added Gofundmethat Ramey “took his life after a long and painful fight against his addiction”. She also wrote: “Adam was not just my brother -in -law. He was like a real brother for me. He saved me in one of my darkest times and was always there for the people he loved. He has every room, every family reunion and every stage he stepped on with life and energy.” The musician’s family can be financially supported on the charity platform.
Adam Ramey, born on May 24, 1992 as Adam Lee Ramey, founded the new group Phoenix Down after a first attempt with the band The Bad Chapter 2016 together with the rapper Eddie Wellz and others. At that time the basis was the worship for Linkin Park. The name was only brief. The Dropout Kings group was baptized in 2017.
To this day, they released two albums, AudioTope (2018) and Riot Music (2023). In addition, there are the EPS GlitchGang (2021) and Last Ones Standing (2022). Most recently, they released the single “Poison Run” with Hopsydian in January.
The Dropout Kings 2021 had a small hit with the song “Virus”.
After US concerts in January and February, a tour of Europe is actually planned for August, also with appearances in Munich and Berlin. It remains unclear whether these gigs will take place. Ramey leaves his wife Jamie and his son Jew.
