How to choose the most suitable drone

On the market you can find many types of drones, which differ not only in the price, but also in the type of use one intends to make of them. Therefore, before moving on to finding the best drone, you need to familiarize yourself with the main factors to take into consideration to make the right choice.

Dimensions and weight

Surely the first thing to consider and evaluate before buying. If you are a beginner, it is recommended a light drone with which to practice and gradually gain confidence. Start using it in covered places, familiarizing yourself with the basic maneuvers, without having to mediate with the wind factor. If, on the other hand, you are already an expert in mastering drones, you can switch to models with larger dimensions, however, increasing the risk of damage in the event of falls and various accidents.

Drone control system and range

Not all drones have the same range of action: there are models that can be controlled via remote controls with a very small range and limited maximum reachable height. There are other more professional ones, however, controllable via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi, with the support of one smartphones or a tablet, which may be commanded hundreds of meters away and able to achieve considerable heights and speeds.

Battery autonomy

Generally drones offer a rather small autonomy, which hardly exceeds half an hour of continuous flight. However, this is a variable parameter, to be evaluated before buying. Some are provided too a replaceable battery system, which you can recharge separately to extend uninterrupted use for a longer time.

Photo and video

Almost all the latest drones, even the cheap ones, integrate a photo and video camera, with which to take pictures and make shots from above. The quality of the same inevitably affects the price, so also for this evaluation you must take into consideration your needs and the use you want to make of the drone. Some models, thanks to the video camera, then offer a first person view (FPV)which can be emphasized by wearing a vision visor augmented reality.

The most advanced drones, then, are equipped with numerous sensors, the most important of which is the gps, which allows them to orient themselves more precisely, avoid any obstacle, maintain their position more stably and automatically return to base in case of problems.
