A police patrol in Schöneberg discovered a speeder in a Mini during the night.

At around 12:55 a.m., the 21-year-old raced away on Kleiststrasse in the direction of Wittenbergplatz. Running police, he drove a total of six red lights!

At one of these traffic lights, he almost ran over a pedestrian – the passer-by was just able to avoid it.

At the intersection of Kurfürstendamm and Joachimsthaler Straße in Charlottenburg, the police officers were finally able to control the speeder. He had stopped there at a red light.

The driver was drunk: the blood alcohol level was around 1.3. The speeder also had two animal repellant sprays and a knife in the car. The vehicle was confiscated. The 21-year-old also had to give up his driver’s license.

He was taken into police custody and then released. The police are now investigating illegal car racing and driving under the influence of alcohol.
