Driver dies after hitting pole in Geluwe

The accident occurred on the A19 towards Kortrijk. A French vehicle was found against a pole at the exit in Geluwe, a sub-municipality of Wervik, just before 8 a.m. The driver of the vehicle was already deceased. The public prosecutor’s office appointed a traffic expert to investigate the precise circumstances of the accident. Further investigations are also underway to determine the time of the accident.
