On Monday afternoon, a driver hit a truck on the A13 motorway and was fatally injured.
According to information from the situation service, the accident happened in the direction of Dresden, between the Baruth (Teltow-Fläming) and Teupitz (Dahme-Spreewald) junctions.
The driver, who has not yet been identified, succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the accident. The truck driver was reportedly unharmed.
After the accident, the motorway in the direction of Dresden was closed for several hours for rescue work. Police say investigations into the cause are ongoing. An expert was consulted for the reconstruction.
