The coach Matthias Jaissle, who is also active in the Bundesliga, has extended his contract with the Austrian soccer champions RB Salzburg ahead of time by another year until 2025.
The former Hoffenheim professional took over the club from Jesse Marsch before the end of the season and won the double.
He also led Salzburg to the last 16 of the Champions League for the first time. There the club failed at FC Bayern (1: 1 / 1: 7).
“In that case, I’m an absolute believer. The task here in Salzburg is a matter close to my heart,” said the 34-year-old: “I feel very comfortable in the club and in the region, I really appreciate the conditions and the whole environment here .”
Jaissle fits the club “perfectly”, said sporting director Christoph Freund and praised his “outstanding” work. The German has “a great coaching career ahead of him”.
