Dries Roelvink does not go crazy on holiday: ‘About 600 euros daily budget’

Dries Roelvink does not think it is necessary to spend an extreme amount of money on holiday. He says he doesn’t act crazy when he travels. What that means? “About 600 euros per day excluding hotel.”

We see him walking through the departure hall in a three-piece suit on Instagram: Dries Roelvink. In between his performances, the singer regularly flies to the sunny south of Europe to swim and eat. But one big spender he says he is absolutely not.

Bottle of wine

Dries watches out for the little ones, he says about his holiday to Saint-Tropez. “Of course I love wine. The wine list sometimes has $65,000 bottles, so I said to Dave, “I shouldn’t go wrong now and point to the wrong one.” Haha! I ended up ordering one for 130 euros.”

There are always cheaper alternatives in life, Dries told the readers of Weekend. “If you act a bit normal here, you will spend around 500-600 euros per day, just the two of you. That is outside the costs of your hotel.”

Hope money

Eh, 600 euros a day a bit normal? That’s a lot of money isn’t it? “Yes, but I make a lot of money, so I’m in a position to do that at my age. But we don’t go crazy for that money at all.”

Life is expensive in Saint-Tropez, Dries concludes. “Dave was immediately like, ‘Wow! What money, Dad!’ He is of course a prankster, so on his Instagram he always showed all the prices, from: ‘A boiled egg for eight euros! Eight euros!’ He sometimes exaggerates, of course, but indeed: it is terribly expensive.”
