Drenthe spends hundreds of thousands to stimulate the training of professionals

The government of the province of Drenthe is making 600,000 euros available for the Skills4life project. That project focuses on the training of skilled professionals, robotization and digitalization. The money comes from the National Growth Fund and is intended for NHL Stenden University of Applied Sciences, which has a branch in Emmen.

The Skills4Life project was developed for the period from 2023 to 2030 and focuses on the development and cooperation of companies and government agencies. The province reports that more than 65 entrepreneurs will be involved in the project to improve the quality of education and skills of the workforce.

According to Drenthe deputy Willemien Meeuwissen, good professionals are of great importance for entrepreneurs and for solving social challenges. “That is why we are investing with this subsidy in strengthening the Drenthe working population and ensuring a better match between supply and demand on the labor market.”
