The proceeds from Giro 555 for earthquake victims in Turkey and Syria have risen to more than 28.6 million euros, the organization reports Wednesday morning. The national action is intended to raise money for emergency aid such as shelter, clothing, medical care and food for those affected.
A total of 28,626,928.80 euros has so far been received by Giro 555. The cooperating aid organizations opened Giro 555 last Tuesday. The last reported standings of Giro555 were from yesterday, when almost 25 million euros were received.
The next provisional standings of Giro555 will be announced around 1.30 pm.
