Lorenzo Pellegrini scored the opening goal after fifteen minutes of play. The AS Roma midfielder ran away well behind the last line of the English and received the ball to size from Nicola Zalewski. Leicester goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel did not look good with the Roman goal, as Pellegrini shot through the legs of the Danish goalie.
Leicester, which had eliminated PSV in the quarterfinals by winning in Eindhoven, came alongside halfway through the second half via Ademola Lookman. If Roma and Feyenoord both make it to the final, it will mean a very special match for Rick Karsdorp, who played the full ninety minutes at the King Power Stadium. The right back switched to AS Roma in the summer of 2017, just after he had won the national championship with Feyenoord.
