Atelier99 has been organizing drawing and painting days at Farm Kamps in Rolde for over 10 years. This year again, on Saturdays July 23 and August 20.
The day is supervised by drawing and painting teacher Johan Lanting, who takes the participants into the theme of ‘landscape’. In the broadest sense of the word. Lanting: ‘You can approach a landscape realistically or emotionally, for example. With the emotional approach, the result becomes more expressive or even abstract.’
Lanting will give an introduction during the reception with coffee and something delicious. ‘And it will stimulate your creativity! Then we get to work and you will be guided further in the direction of your choice. Literally how you paint a landscape, how you get depth and paint clouds and trees, among other things, but also how you can play with the theme, direction expression and abstraction.’
The regular ‘Drawing and painting day chef’ shows and tastes her vegetarian cooking skills during the days, with lunch and something with coffee in the morning. Lanting: ‘The theme of the food is still a surprise, but something fresh and fruity can be tasted anyway.’
The arrangement of the Saturdays: 11:00 Coffee and something extra, introduction by Johan Lanting, then painting. 13:30 Extensive lunch, with various soups and salads 14:00 – 16:30 Painting and cleaning up at the end. 16:30 – 17:15 Evaluation with a glass of wine and snacks.
