The final of snooker’s Welsh Open was interrupted on Sunday because of a spectator.
According to the Daily Star the final had to be stopped when a female supporter started to feel sick. Finalists Martin O’Donnell and Gary Wilson walked away from the venue to wait for the situation to clear up.
An unwell fan was treated during the break. He was able to leave the arena on his own two feet. There is no more detailed information about the event.
The match was stopped for about 20 minutes, but it was allowed to continue.
Gary Wilson won the title with a score of 9–4. For O’Donnell, the ranking tournament final was the first in his career.
