Drama in psychiatric clinic in the Netherlands: patient stabs employee to death and commits suicide

An employee of the Veldzicht psychiatric center in the Dutch village of Balkbrug died this afternoon in a stabbing incident. The patient involved in the incident committed suicide. Two other employees were injured and taken to hospital. “It is incomprehensible what happened,” says director Hanny van Geffen of the clinic. “We are all in tremendous shock. We have never experienced anything like this before.”
