An 18-year-old man from Rijkevoort was killed in a single-vehicle accident on De Quayweg in Ledeacker on Friday. He is the second fatality: earlier in the day an 18-year-old man from Gennep, Limburg, died. Two other occupants of the car were seriously injured. These are men aged 18 and 19 and come from Rijkevoort and Sint Anthonis.
The accident happened around 5:30 a.m. Friday. The victims were all in the same car and were driving towards Rijkevoort. They ran off the road with the car, ended up in the verge and flipped over. No other traffic was involved. One of the victims was found in the ditch after the accident. None of the victims can be contacted.
Accident
The road was closed after the accident. Debris from the car was scattered across the road. Police, fire brigade and an air ambulance were also present. How the accident could have happened is under investigation.
