A woman in the Walloon village of Frameries has died after she was hit by a car by her husband on Wednesday morning. The authorities confirm that. The facts occurred around 8 am at the crossroads of Rue Firmin Pierard and Rue de Lambrechies in Frameries, in the province of Hainaut.
The mayor of the Hainaut municipality, Jean-Marc Dupont, confirms to Belga that it is a deliberate collision, something that can also be heard from the local police.
An investigation into the facts has been opened by the public prosecutor’s office of Bergen, which may communicate about the facts later today. The driver was arrested on the spot by the police. He will be questioned and may have to appear before the investigating judge later today, who will decide on his arrest.
