Insolvency and thus the end of the “Fürst” construction project of the Aggregate Holding on Kurfürstendamm was prevented at the very last minute. The future of the Kudamm comedy seemed secure. But the drama apparently continues.
As the “Handelsblatt” reports, there are said to be further applications for insolvency. Although an investor has withdrawn two insolvency applications, the court plans to hear three further applications from the Swiss bank Safra Sarasin next week.
According to the report, the bank “represents investors who contribute a significant share of a financing tranche of around 200 million euros.”
The Handelsblatt quotes Aggregate boss Cevdet Caner, who rejects speculation about a possible insolvency of the project. “The project is not insolvent,” says Caner. “We still have around 140 million euros in cash in the construction account.” He is pretty sure that “the application will be rejected.”
Meanwhile, the Kudamm comedy is shocked by the development and is currently examining the new situation.
