After Drake had already experienced cell phone throwing attacks, he now had no desire for fan contact.
Another incident occurred during a Drake concert. This time a fan tried to storm the stage to get closer to the rapper. However, he didn’t put up with the action and kicked the troublemaker off the stage himself.
On Monday (September 11), Drake performed in Austin, Texas, as part of his It’s All A Blur Tour. While the Canadian rap star was in the middle of a song, a concertgoer made it past security and onto Drake’s stage. There he apparently tried to get a hug from “Drizzy”. But he was anything but enthusiastic about the uninvited guest.
Drake promptly pushed the stage stormer away and escorted him to the edge of the stage, where security finally took him into custody. “Don’t you have security here tonight?” Drake asked angrily. “You guys are damn slow,” he continued to complain.
Not the first incident on Drake’s current tour
It wasn’t the first time the “Hotline Bling” rapper’s performance was disrupted. At a gig in Chicago in July 2023, someone in the audience threw a cell phone at Drake, which hit his hand. A month later, he yelled at a fan after an argument broke out in the crowd.
Of course there are also some positive events on the “It’s All A Blur” tour. In Drake’s home country, Travis Scott stepped in at short notice for 21 Savage, who was unable to perform. The first joint live performance of “Meltdown” and other songs caused euphoria in Vancouver.
