Drake gives cancer survivor $50,000 at concert

It’s not the first time the rapper has handed over so much money to a fan.

During his concert on February 16, Drake promised a fan a huge gift. During his tour stop in Pittsburgh, the rapper announced that he would give $50,000 to a woman who survived cancer during the show.

“Your music helped me through cancer”

The emotional moment came when a concert-goer held up a sign with a message that was important to her. The poster read: “Your music helped me through cancer.”

After reading the announcement, the 37-year-old repeated for everyone: “This beautiful young lady has a sign that says ‘Your music got me through cancer.’ Now that’s a powerful statement coming from a survivor.”

He then said that he wanted to try to keep making music that the fan wanted to hear and then dropped the bombshell: “But tonight we’re giving you $50,000. You can watch another Drake show or do whatever you want. I know that [zeigte aufs Plakat] really appreciate, I appreciate the feeling. It is love.”

Not the first time fan support

It’s not the first time that the rapper has been so generous. During his performance in Nashville on February 8th, he promised a concertgoer $100,000 because he had just finished chemotherapy. “Forget Drake, forget everyone else in this building, that’s a real soldier.” And further: “I love you and I wish you nothing but the best.”
