Draisaitl wins duel against Stützle

Leon Draisaitl won the duel of the German ice hockey stars in the North American professional league NHL against Tim Stützle.

With his Edmonton Oilers, Draisaitl won an exciting exchange of blows 6:3 at Sützle’s Ottawa Senators. Allstar Draisaitl scored two goals, the young Stützle didn’t score a point.

The favored Oilers, who remain fourth in the Western Conference, took the lead several times, but were only able to break away decisively in the final third with a goal from a man down. Ottawa’s goalie Anton Forsberg was apparently seriously injured in the last goal conceded and was pushed off the field on a stretcher after minutes of treatment.

Moritz Seider contributed to the success of his Detroit Red Wings with two blitz assists. The defenseman put up two goals within the first three minutes against the Vancouver Canucks for an early lead, Detroit ultimately won 5-2.

Youngster JJ Peterka suffered a crushing defeat despite a lead with the Buffalo Sabers. The Sabers broke after a 2-0 lead against the Calgary Flames and lost 7-2, Peterka didn’t score a point.
