Dragqueen Vanessa van Cartier writes biography: “‘I never want to see you again’, my father said when I got breasts”

She has had an eventful life and she wants to share that with the world. Drag queen and transgender woman Vanessa Van Cartier (42) therefore wrote the book ‘Stay true to who you are’, and she does that for people who – just like her – struggle to find the right life path. The Belgian-Dutch is now known and successful as far as LA, but that used to be different. She openly talks about her transition, the difficult relationship with her father, plastic surgery and her time in prostitution. “I saw no other way out. And no matter how tough, I learned a lot from it.”
