British shoe retailer Dr. Martens Plc is now represented with two stores in the Rhineland metropolis of Cologne. With an area of 128 square meters, it is the brand’s largest shop in Germany to date, said Dr. Martens on Wednesday with.
The label’s tried-and-tested, industrial-style shopfitting concept was used for the fittings. The cooperation with the Cologne artist Jakob Schwald aka Optik, who provided two walls of the shop with large-scale pictures, provided for individual touches.
After reopening in Cologne, the British brand now has 17 stores in Germany. Seven of these are in North Rhine-Westphalia alone. In Cologne, the shoe retailer has been running a shop on Ehrenstrasse since 2018.
