Dra, how did you decide to specialize in Mastology?
I decided to major in Mastology due to my passion for women’s health and my desire to provide them with comprehensive care in the area of breast health. During my years of medical training, I learned about the importance of early detection and treatment of Breast Cancer, as well as other breast diseases. This sparked my interest in mastology and led me to specialize in this area.
What services do you provide as a Mastologist?
I offer a wide range of breast health care services. This includes performing screening exams, previously comprehensively evaluating the patient and her personal and family history. I diagnose and monitor breast diseases, such as breast cancer and benign breast diseases. I also provide advice and support to my patients throughout their treatment and recovery process.
How do you project your work in the medium term?
My goal is to continue providing quality care to my patients and stay abreast of the most recent advances in the field of mastology.
I would also like to participate in outreach and awareness activities about the importance of breast health and early detection of Breast Cancer. Additionally, I am interested in collaborating with other healthcare professionals on research and projects to improve care and outcomes for patients.
Through writing I strive to transmit strength and hope to all those people who are going through the disease or who have a loved one who is.
What are your differentials in your profession?
What sets me apart is my patient-centered approach and commitment to comprehensive care. I strive to establish a relationship of trust with my patients, listening to their concerns and providing them with emotional support throughout their treatment process. Additionally, my experience of more than ten years in Mastology has allowed me to develop extensive knowledge and clinical skills to provide quality care.
If you were starting over, what would you do differently?
If I had the opportunity to start over, I would focus on establishing a broader collaboration network with other specialists in the field of breast health. Although my work is as a team, I believe that said network should reach those professionals who are in very remote places and it is often impossible to access an Interconsultation in person. I believe that teamwork and collaboration are essential to providing the best possible care to patients.
I would also like to dedicate more time to education and outreach about the importance of early detection of Breast Cancer and prevention measures.
Additionally, I would seek to participate in more research projects to contribute to the advancement of Mastology and improve results for patients.
