GERMANY: – STABLE – The Dax (DAX 40) initially seems to be treading water on Tuesday. The broker IG assesses the leading German index a few points higher at 16,079 points around one and a half hours before the start of Xetra. The day before, the Dax had held the round mark of 16,000 points and thus remained above the 50-day line. The barometer for the medium-term trend runs sideways just below 16,000 points. Supported by the positive Wall Street, the Dax contained its losses on Monday afternoon. Investors are reasonably happy with the recent fall in inflation, said Stephen Innes of SPI Asset Management. This allows you to concentrate on company figures. It won’t be until the end of July monetary policy back into focus.

USA: – PRICE GAINS – The US stock exchanges continued on Monday from their strong previous week. The three most important indices in the course of trading trumped their highs from Friday. Investors are cautiously optimistic about the upcoming reporting season, market participants said. The Dow Jones Industrial (Dow Jones 30 Industrial) ended trading up 0.22 percent to 34,585.35 points. At the same time, it closed at its highest level since December 2022.

ASIA: – MAINLY PRICE LOSSES – The most important stock markets in Asia recorded price losses on Tuesday. In Tokyo, the leading Japanese index Nikkei 225 rose by 0.2 percent in late trading after the holiday the day before. The CSI 300, which tracks the share prices of the largest companies on the Shanghai and Shenzhen stock exchanges, was flat. The Hang Seng Index (Hang Seng) of the Chinese special administrative region of Hong Kong was clearly under pressure with a discount of almost two percent. Trading there had been at a standstill the day before. The positive sentiment on the US stock markets did not provide sufficient tailwind in Asia.
