FOOTBALL – There is obviously sand in DOZH’s engine. The Saturday second-grader from Emmen is still unbeaten, but failed to win for the fifth time in a row this afternoon. On their own field, the team of coach Bert Doldersum did not get further than a goalless draw against FC Meppel.
The home team was indeed stronger than the guests who are fighting against relegation, but the completion left something to be desired this afternoon. Moreover, FC Meppel’s defense, with outstanding Yannick van der Veen, was excellent.

The big competitor of DZOH in the 2nd class J, Gorecht, did win. The students of The Knickerbockers made it 0-2. As a result, Gorecht is now three points clear of DZOH: 37 to 34 points, both from 16 of the 26 games.
LTC not past closing
LTC is in third place, with 26 out of 16. The Asser club did not get further than a 1-1 draw at last NEC Delfzijl. Xander Eisses equalized after Christian Lambeck gave the home team the lead after the break.
French match winner for Achilles 1894
Nando Frans was the hero of Achilles 1894. He scored the winning goal in stoppage time against Gramsbergen (2-1). Because of that victory, the team of trainer Harold Wekema has 18 points from 15 matches. but Achilles 1894 is by no means safe yet. The gap to the danger zone is only one point. De Weide is the first team under the line, with 17 points from 16 games. De Weide won 2-0 at home against SC Elim.
