During an unannounced police check on the A37 near Zwinderen, dozens of road users were issued a ticket this week.
In total, drivers of about 160 vehicles have been checked, the police report.
Most of the fines concerned driving without a seatbelt (5), driving without a valid driver’s license (5) and the lights of a trailer not working (5). Someone was also caught driving under the influence of drugs.
During the check, the police cooperated with customs and the marchaussee.
