Dozens of people from Pessen reflect on brothers who have died in an accident

Dozens of residents of Pesse paid tribute to the death of two fellow citizens in De Wenning village hall this evening. A 12-year-old boy and his 19-year-old brother were killed in an accident on Wednesday night.

That accident happened just across the border in Germany, while they were driving towards the Netherlands. During an overtaking action, the duo collided head-on with a truck.

It is a blemish on the village festival in Pesse, which was kicked off in a pleasant way on Wednesday. But yesterday the organization of the Pesser party reached the sad news. After consultation with all parties involved, the organizers decided that the party will continue this weekend. In addition, they arranged for residents of the village to leave their messages of support for the affected family in the village hall tonight.

According to residents of Pesse, the victims of the accident had only lived in the village for six months and were not very well known. Nevertheless, this evening there were queues of people in front of De Wenning who reflected on the death of the two brothers.
