Dozens of masked people in front of the barber shop – shots and tear gas

In Lichterfelde, 30 to 50 people ganged up in front of a barber shop on Friday evening.

Witnesses alerted the police shortly before 8 p.m. because there were masked people among the people, and some firearms and baseball bats were also seen.

“According to several testimonies, shots were fired,” said a police spokesman on Saturday.

One person is said to have smashed a window in the store with an iron bar and then sprayed tear gas on two men who then came outside.

Several suspects managed to escape before police arrived. The officers used checked two vehicles at the scene and found a small amount of suspected drugs in one of them, which they confiscated.

The two 23-year-olds who were attacked suffered eye irritation that could be treated on an outpatient basis.

“In the immediate vicinity of the hairdresser’s, the police discovered live ammunition and an irritant spray device and secured both,” the spokesman reported. But they did not find cartridge cases or bullet extinguishers.

The background to the incident is still unclear. It remained unclear, for example, the relationship between those involved and why the attacks occurred. It will be determined in all directions, said the police spokesman.
