Dozens of flower arrangements were placed last weekend at the spot along the Midden-Brabantweg near Loon op Zand where Pepijn (20) and Matt (19) died in a tragic accident.
The accident happened on Saturday night, May 8. While crossing the road, Pippin and Matt were hit by a car. Pepijn and Matt’s funerals were last Friday and Saturday.
Pepijn and Matt both played football in the team of friends RKDVC 15. On the fateful evening they would go out in Tilburg with team members. Pepijn and Matt took the bus and for an unknown reason got off halfway at the bus stop in Loon op Zand.
Pepijn and Matt’s teammates will play a match in memory of their football friends on Sunday 22 May.
