Dozens of farmers take action with ‘shit and dredging’ at Assen provincial government building

A group of farmers has gathered with several dozen tractors at the provincial government building in Assen. They take action against agricultural and nitrogen policy.

The protest started in Beilen, where farmers gathered with their tractors at the Jumbo distribution center. From there the procession drove to Assen, where they stopped at the provincial government building. A reporter from RTV Drenthe estimates that there are about seventy hikers in front of the entrance. She describes the atmosphere as ‘friendly’.

Some of the farmers have brought buckets into which manure is poured through a slurry tank. Deputy Jisse Otter (BBB) ​​is standing outside talking to the farmers.
