Dozens of children among more than 2,400 arrests at the A12 blockade in The Hague

Extinction Rebellion (XR) blocked the A12 near The Hague again on Saturday since 12 noon. Mayor Jan van Zanen had banned the demonstration. Around 1:30 p.m., police deployed water cannons and arrests began an hour later. Ultimately, more than 2,400 people were arrested in four hours, including dozens of children.
