At the Jacob van Campenlaan in Hilversum, about 20 to 30 cars were scratched last night. A 28-year-old man was caught red-handed.
At around 10:30 p.m., witnesses saw a man scratching the cars from front to back with a sharp object. The police were called and the suspect was quickly apprehended.
He also had a spray can with him, with which he sprayed one car.
The cars were all parked along the road and have scratches on the side of the sidewalk. The police are calling on people with damage to report the incident.
