At least 34 people were killed on Thursday in a shooting at a daycare center in northeastern Thailand’s Nong Bua Lamphu province. International report that news agencies and is confirmed by the Thai authorities.

The suspect, 34-year-old Panya Khamrap, was a former police officer. According to local media, he was recently fired for a positive drug test and was due to appear in court on Friday. Khamrap is also said to have killed his own wife and child after the attack, after which he committed suicide. That reports the Thai police.

The man allegedly struck with a rifle and a stabbing weapon. Below the victims are at least 23 children, two teachers and a police officer. No motive is yet clear.
