Western Turkey has been hit by a magnitude 5.9 earthquake. The epicenter of the quake was in the province of Düzce on the Black Sea. This is reported by the European Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC). The tremors were felt as far as Istanbul, some 200 kilometers away, and in the Turkish capital Ankara.
