Doubles expert Mies in the semifinals of the French Open

Andreas Mies is in the semifinals of the doubles competition at the French Open.

Alongside his Dutch partner Matwe Middelkoop, the 32-year-old won the quarter-finals 7-6 (8-6), 6-1 against Jean-Julien Rojer and Marcelo Arevalo (Netherlands/El Salvador), who were third.

Mies is still aiming for his third title in Roland Garros. He did the first two in 2019 and 2020 alongside his German colleague Kevin Krawietz, who is fighting for the semi-finals with his new partner Tim Pütz on Tuesday.
