Finnish cheeses made in Jalasjärvi have once again been successful in an international competition. Juustoportti has won two gold medals in the international Käsiade cheese competition held in Tyrol in October. Juustoportti entered the competition with three cheeses, of which the Brandy walnut cheese and the Vuohen Grand Reserve made it to the medals. The cheeses have made a name for themselves in international competitions before. Pippuri.fi reported in the fall of 2022 that Vuohen Grand Reserve was judged worthy of bronze in the World Cheese Awards competition. In the 2018 competition, on the other hand, Brandy-nut and Viinitarhuri cheeses received gold medals.
