A driver has died in a frontal collision in Palau-solità i Plegamans and an 18-year-old passenger has died when a car crashed in Piera
Two fatal accidents have been chained this Sunday with a few hours apart in the province of Barcelona. The driver of a vehicle has lost his life in a frontal collision that occurred in Palau-solità i Plegamans, while an 18-year-old passenger has died in Piera when the vehicle in which she was traveling left the road.
Two vehicles collided in the Palau-solità i Plegamans accident and a third was also involved. Four people have been injured and they have been transferred to hospitals in Mollet, Granollers and Sabadell. It happened on the C-59, around 07:00. The crash has forced the road to be cut until around 10:30 a.m., reports the Servei Català de Trànsit. The Mossos d’Esquadra investigate the facts.
Hours before, a young woman died when the vehicle in which she was co-pilot has left the BV-2242 road, at the height of Piera. The driver of the wrecked vehicle has been less seriously injured and has been transferred to the Igualada Hospital, as reported by the Servei Català de Trànsit.

The Mossos d’Esquadra have received the notice of the accident at 4.48 hours. Several of the police patrols have been activated, as well as three units of the Generalitat Fire Department and two units of the Sistema d’Emergències Mèdiques (SEM), which have traveled to the place where the incident occurred.
