The accident happened just after 10 a.m. local time on Tuesday. The bus crashed into the facade of a pub in New Oxford Street. An office building and a gallery with terraces were also hit.
The fire brigade evacuated about two hundred people from the affected building. The emergency services had to treat two slightly injured people on site. One injured person was eventually taken to hospital.
