The FIGC president’s lawyers: “He wants to clarify his position and the circumstances of which he was the victim and hopes that the instigators will be identified”
Gabriele Gravina is under investigation by the Rome Prosecutor’s Office. The president of the FIGC, who ended up in the Perugia dossier investigation which gave rise to that of the capital’s prosecutors into alleged wrongdoings against him, was heard this afternoon at his own request in a long interrogation of about two hours by the prosecutor Francesco Lo Voi and the deputy Giuseppe Cascini. It was Gravina’s lawyers, Leo Mercurio and Fabio Viglione, who asked to be heard with all the guarantees of the suspects.

In a note the two lawyers had explained that “due to the intolerable exploitations and distorting reconstructions of the truth of the facts that have called him into question in recent days, this morning Gabriele Gravina asked to be heard to clarify his position and the circumstances of which he was a victim.” And again: “This decision was made in order to protect his image and by virtue of the full trust he places in the magistrates who are following the case. In this matter, our client is an offended person, for this reason he hopes that light will be shed as soon as possible on what is shaping up to be a real dossier activity, for which we also hope to identify the instigators”.
