The shops Ortner, 1864 Ortner, Juvia by Ortner and their own online shop will be hired at the end of the year, the fashion retailer said this week. The background of the closure is the end of the rental agreement that the landlord Diag does not want to extend.
The rental agreement expires on December 31 of this year. Ortner would have liked to extend him by five years. The diag will rent the rooms to the TU Dortmund in the long term.
According to a “comprehensive analysis of all framework conditions and possibilities”, the traditional company with more than 160 years of history came to the conclusion of not continuing Ortner, according to the message. Also there would be no alternative stores in a new, “equally attractive location”.
