According to the Canadian Center for Ethics in Sport (CCES), bobsleigh pilot Christine de Bruin has been banned for three years after a positive doping test.

At the end of August, SARM LGD-4033 was detected in a urine sample from the 33-year-old. The drug increases muscle mass.

According to the CCES announcement, de Bruin has admitted the violation, which is why the four-year ban due was reduced by one year.

Bronze at the Olympics in mono bobsleigh

De Bruin took bronze behind the two US starters Kaillie Humphries and Elana Meyers Taylor at the Olympic monobob premiere in Beijing in the spring. Fourth was Laura Nolte from BSC Winterberg. The Canadian also won three World Championship medals (2x bronze, 1x silver).
