No fewer than 80 alpacas graze in the vast fields of Alpaca Flanders in Geluwe, but one of them absolutely steals the show. Little Oracle, barely a few months old, happily frolics around with a unique prosthesis. A European first, after the animal lost its front leg due to a life-threatening infection. “But Oracle had so much zest for life and spirit that we wanted to pull out all the stops,” say owners Hanne (41) and Thijs (43).
